This two story contemporary home sits on a steeply sloped lot with panoramic Hill Country views. The project was a specific program to meet design, budget and schedule requirements of an active family with young children. Foundation costs were optimized for the site by varying the garage and first level finished floor elevations. Lightly stained Western Red Cedar soffits and clear Cedar siding add warmth to the predominantly grey stucco exteriors. A dramatic black steel trellis adds a modern industrial touch to the rear elevation. Both the interior and exterior finishes are clean, simple and minimalist. The neutral palette is carried inside with wall colors and a beautifully polished concrete floor finish. High performance construction features are present in the home from our standard unvented attic assembly to high efficiency mechanical and water distribution systems and LED lighting.
