Meadow House
New Construction
The Meadow House draws its inspiration from the wineries of Napa Valley. The home is set far back from a private cul-de-sac across a Texas style meadow. Access to the house is granted through a meandering paver driveway that carefully winds its way through clusters of Live Oaks and native grasses to eventually reach the motor court and residence buildings. The back of the property abuts to a protected preserve with long views into the Hill Country. The house itself is a traditional design with predominantly gabled forms clad in a monochromatic blend of large format stone, brick, and integral stucco. The various masonry veneers flow seamlessly into the interiors. Exposed timber posts, beams, and rafters are visible throughout the project. The house moves more contemporary with large window and door walls celebrating the views across the expansive back yard and into the Hill Country beyond.
The finishes of the home are bespoke and curated–from the highest quality bronze hardware and handmade tiles to its premium plumbing fixtures and the stained interior doors with concealed SOSS hinges. Custom features include a handcrafted vent hood, one-of-a-kind light fixtures, and unique millwork elements. Wide format reclaimed Oak flooring adds a historic warmth throughout the home. Lighting was an important part of the project as manifest through the access to natural light, through beautiful hand made decorative fixtures, and through a detailed lighting design to carefully specify placement and control of the architectural lighting. The design, finishes and technology work together in harmony to create beautiful and comfortable spaces that draw family and friends together in this amazing home.
