Hillside House
New Construction
This Transitional Contemporary home sits on a steeply sloped lot with panoramic Hill Country views. A walk-out basement design approach presents the house as a single level from the street while the two levels on the back of the house allow most rooms and both patio levels to experience the dramatic Hill Country views. Engineered basement walls are waterproofed and constructed with interior and exterior drain systems. Exterior cladding is a mixture of saw cut limestone and clear cedar tongue and groove siding. The limestone and cedar finishes are carried into the interiors at the entry, gallery and living room areas. Terraced planters wrap the building and play an important role in the landscaping. LED ceiling cove accent lighting is present in many rooms. A number of high-performance construction features are present in the home from our standard unvented attic assembly to high efficiency mechanical and water distribution systems and LED lighting.
