Great Hills Remodel
Remodel
This project is an extensive interior remodel to open up and modernize the main common spaces in a traditional Great Hills home. The work centers around the new kitchen. Walls were removed to open up the kitchen to living and dining areas. Cabinets were updated to new prefinished shaker style perimeters with features to allow more efficient storage. Long lasting but tired and dated GE white appliances are upgraded to a stainless steel Bosch models, but the family splurged for a steam oven and built-in coffee maker. Doors, flooring, and wall finishes are updated throughout the first floor. An unused dining room was converted to a secondary kids living space. The design carefully modernizes to integrate with its traditional surroundings.
