Far West Remodel
Remodel
This project is an extensive interior remodel to update and modernize a transitional NW Austin residence. The design called for adjustments to spaces and finishes that carefully integrate with the character of the existing home. Walls are reconfigured to open up circulation. All of the first floor windows are upgraded to energy efficient units with modern colors and cleaner sight lines. The showpiece of the project is the new kitchen. A new 9’ wide window above the sink bathes the kitchen in natural light. Beautifully crafted custom grain matched white oak cabinets and professional stainless appliances fill the galley style kitchen perimeter. The kitchen also boasts a long waterfall island with bar seating that serves as a workhorse for both prep and entertaining. Leave the Kitchen to enter the office and work among the trees via the view from eight new windows. The 12’ wide steel and glass study entry door provides privacy while sharing its natural light with the adjacent living room.
