This mudroom implements several levels of detail to achieve its high level of form and function. The successful result begins with great design. The architect planned the space with deep millwork in mind. Interior designer and client worked with the custom cabinet maker to implement specific goals; a mixture of open and concealed storage along with a cubby section for each family member. The uppermost level cabinets are top hinged with Blum Aventos uplifts. The lower drawers have decorative metal louvered inserts for shoe storage ventilation. Each cubby has a dedicated downlight recessed into the upper shelf, and its own combo power plus USB receptacle. The finishing touches include rich green paint coating the open upper storage boxes, reclaimed live sawn plank siding and bespoke coat hooks, and Rocky Mountain cast bronze HW.
